Bentley has unveiled the Continental Supersports, a limited-edition, hardcore Continental GT-based model that marks the British marque's return to building more extreme cars. With only 500 examples to be made, this is the fourth Supersports model in history and the most driver-focused Bentley ever produced. The Continental Supersports features a 4.0-litre V8 motor, delivering 489 kW and 800 N.m of torque to the rear wheels, without electric assistance. It boasts a lighter weight of under two tonnes, enabling it to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 310 km/h. Bentley Chairman and CEO Dr Frank-Steffen Walliser emphasized the significance of the Supersports, stating that it combines extraordinary breadth of ability with true driver engagement, while remaining a piece of automotive art unique and bespoke to each customer.
