If I had sat down to write a review for CPR Guardian III a few months into the purchase I would have been a satisfied customer. With two way contact through the watch, an SOS button for emergency alerting and the thought that certain data was recorded for me to check on the wearer’s condition on an app gave me freedom to leave the house for a few hours confident I would not return again to someone who had been in pain on the floor for some time and in distress.
I forgave the device for very poor volume and so got used to being the mad woman shouting down the phone in the supermarket in answer to a needy call from the wearer.
However, after a working period, issues began to arise and I had to learn to navigate the customer help from the one agent at the end of a general phone line for month upon month. I reverted to the feeling of insecurity because of the unreliability of the service. After spending ( to me) a lot of money on the watch—- the price has drastically come down now—I felt I couldn’t afford to just give up! I should have moved on though quicker because I have now found a similar device which also works on a sim package, picking up the best signal available and I have had 3 bar connections no problem. This new company have a dedicated helpline with a caring, helpful team and even check in on the customer periodically. I cannot believe the difference!!
Yes, I do not have all the bells and whistles the Guardian offers but then, when they don’t work reliably there is not much point in them. I pop to the shops or see friends socially safe in the knowledge the watch wearer is safe at home able to raise help at the press of a button ALL the time.
I have got my life back again!! I would not go back to using the CPR Guardian watch.
