But for a new patient who is new to the spin and it's the type of damage and pain that they have new been introduced to. The surgeon that I am seeing could explain what's going on and a treatment plan with me. All I got was here are you options. Shots surgery very minimal explanation of anything. I'm trusting him and doing any reading I can find on the little that he explained. Live with it was the third option. I have decided to do one out patient procedure and hold off anything else until I know more and understand more. I am also taking into consideration that he see's it every day I wish that he would notice I'm confused and have never dealt with any of it. Things that can affect your mobility are terrifying. I have heard nothing on the long term effects of the disc disease osteoporosis or the arthritis that is affected me at this time. I am only 45 years old

Dr. Michael has been exceptional throughout my whole process. I was very nervous about having this surgery (Alif/PSF on L5 S1. I am so glad I didn't wait and struggle through pain for months or years!! I am now 7 weeks postoperative and I feel great!!! I felt 100% confident In my Dr.'s, nurses and the spine hospital. Although my spine looked good, he thought--based on my issues--that I should see a neurologist and I agreed. Dr. Michaels didn't just say that my spine looked good and forgot about it.
