What’s better than banana bread? Chocolate chip banana bread! Awesome texture, sweet banana flavor and chocolate chips throughout – you need a slice of this yumminess ASAP!
Got some overripe bananas laying around? Here’s a perfect use for them – make this chocolate chip banana bread! Itis so good that you’ll want to hide some bananas and have them turn brown just to have an excuse to make it this banana bread over and over again!
This chocolate chip banana bread is awesome for breakfast, for dessert and for a snack! Actually, it probably won’t even make it till breakfast time – it disappears in minutes! Everyone gathers around the loaf pan and grabs the slices with their greedy hands, crumbs flying everywhere. First the slices are gone, then the crumbs get picked up as well – nobody wants to waste even one crumb of this delicious banana chocolate chip goodness. Yumminess is meant to be devoured!
If you want to rescue this amazing chocolate chip banana bread from the eaters, you can freeze it :) Let the banana bread cool, slice it, put the individual slices in ziploc bags, squeeze the air out and freeze. Then to have a slice for breakfast, take out a ziploc bag the night before, put it on the counter and it will thaw by the morning! This slice of chocolate chip banana bread will taste as good as fresh, and will be waiting for you to eat it! :) You can even warm it in a microwave for 10 seconds for that warm freshly baked taste and slightly melted chocolate chips!
How To Make Chocolate Chip Banana Bread
This chocolate chip banana bread recipe is so easy, it’s a lazy cook’s favorite! This is a one-bowl recipe that you just can’t mess up! And once you are done, you just have one bowl to wash :)
First, you need to mix butter and sugar in a bowl. Next, mix in the eggs and vanilla, then add mashed bananas. Then mix in the dry ingredients – flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Finally, add in the chocolate chips! Pour the banana bread batter into a non-stick loaf pan and bake at 350F for 45 minutes. You are done!
If you want some of the chocolate chips to be on top (like on my picture) instead of just inside the banana bread, savesome chocolate chips and sprinkle them on top of banana bread right before baking. This is my trick for picture-perfect chocolate chips on top :)
