...it's been unopened in the fridge. The date on it is 10/9, today's 13/9.
Would you eat it?

If it has been kept nice and cool, then I would open and sniff. If it smells fine, then a wee taste. If that is okay, then I'd eat it.

Unless it's actually mouldy, it'll be fine. Shame to waste it...yum. Have you made a crumble?

thanks guys. No crumble but the DCs and i made a lemon drizzle cake earlier on today. That will have to do. Or I could cook the M&S apple pie that is also past it's date (not good food/menu planning this week at all )

No as it is dairy but then I never eat anything past its date.

yes if it smells ok etc. i'd eat it. and the apple pie!! (specially if you heat the apple pie properly)

It'll be fine. We regard sell-by dates as fiction in this house. If it smells OK then it is OK.

I tend to ignore use by / best before dates and trust my eyes / nose / taste buds (usually in that order)
