The Mushroom Hunter lives in a hut (looking similar to Sasquatch’s home) in the forest near the River, and gives Sasquatch the Foraging Tools and a Mushroom Guide, which allows you to collect mushrooms. You need to collect the Treasure Map Piece in the Cave first, otherwise the Hunter will tell you that they are busy.
Similar to the fishers, the mushroom hunter will give you rewards for each unique type of mushroom. However, in contrast to the fishers, the Mushroom Hunter pays you for the mushrooms you already submitted previously, and you cannot eat the mushrooms you collect. All mushrooms must be submitted to the mushroom hunter.
There are 4 checkpoints at 4, 8, 14, and 22 types mushrooms found, out of 29 total. Passing these checkpoints gets you Dynamite, which you can "loan" to the Demolition Ducks to unlock new passages and areas. The reward for collecting all mushrooms is teaching your dog to find truffles.
Reaching the Mushroom Hunter[]
The River Mouth is to the east of the Marina. Any of the motorized boats can go upriver, but faster boats are preferable. At the first fork, take right. Pass a cove with a Demolition Duck and a ruined dock. Reach a place where two coves are opposite each other. Park the boat in the lower one and run along a long and winding forest trail.
After you received Dynamite, Demolition Ducks can open two shortcuts: from the Sasquatch House house to the river (rebuild the River Dock with the Construction Duck’s help to have your current boat spawn here), and from the river cove to Mushroom Hunter’s shack, avoiding the long run.
Without shortcuts, reaching the hut takes a long time, so start early in the morning, or you may find the Mushroom Hunter already sleeping.
Personality[]
The Mushroom Hunter has poor eyesight and recently lost their glasses. Because of this, the Mushroom Hunter mistakes the Sasquatch for an acquaintance (whose name is random), and dynamite sticks for scented candles.
Trivia[]
If Sasquatch doesn't any disguises on she can still be frightened and trigger Ranger Danger despite her poor vision.
