Bantam EX-L Composite Pickleball Paddle

The Bantam EX-L Composite Pickleball Paddle by Paddletek is one of our most popular paddles. This paddle has a specialized, polymer core which was specifically made for pickleball playing. This core was designed to provide greater power, more control and hits that are strong yet quieter than Nomex core paddles. Paddletek created the Bantam to be a winner at a lighter weight. The abstract, geometric vinyl decal is laid on top of the high tech fiberglass face. Inside, the strong polymer core provides a sturdy basis for lots of pickleball play.

The Bantam EX-L paddle is in the sweet zone for many players, weighing 7.7 to 8.4 ounces. At this weight, players still have natural power from the paddle but can also impart spin and control. The 7-7/8” wide face provides a good amount of room on the face, while the 5 1/8” long handle is long enough for reach but not overly-extended. This paddle measures 15-5/8” from the top of the paddle to the bottom. The small-sized grip is padded, keeping a player’s comfort in mind.

The new 2020 model of the EX-L Pro features Torsional Vibration Control that helps improve the size of the sweet spot side to side and help you have successful shots on off-center mis-hits.

Choosing to play with the Bantam EX-L is a decision that no player will ever look back on with regret.

Actual grip sizes may vary up to 1/8".

Transcript of Video - Kyle Yates

I'm Kyle Yates. I'm from Fort Myers, Florida. I use the Paddletek Bantam EX-L. I've been playing with this paddle for about five years now. I fell in love with it right away. As soon as I hit the ball it felt so powerful, I felt like I had so much control and I haven't been able to play with anything else since.

Transcript of Video - Irina Tereschenko

My name is Irina Tereschenko. I'm originally from Russia and currently reside in sunny, Tucson, Arizona. I chose Bantam EX-L because I was looking for a paddle that gives me consistent performance on different surfaces and different conditions; windy, humid, it doesn't matter, Bantam EX-L can bring my game to the next level.

Transcript of Video - Ben Larson

My name is Ben Larson. I play with the Alaska Pickleball Club, and my paddle of choice is the Bantam EX-L. So, I like this paddle for a lot of reasons. I'm a tennis player, so I like the paddle to have a little bit of weight and this paddle is a little bit on the heavier side, which is nice. It gives me a lot of feel on the harder shots. It's a really solid paddle. Every time you hit the ball, especially on those volleys, it comes off with a lot of pop. It feels really nice hitting through the ball, and this paddle just offers a lot of flexibility. What I mean by that is basically every kind of shot that you want to hit; touch, spin, power, serve, whatever you want this one can do it and it feels really nice.

Transcript of Video - Alex Hamner

Hey all you pickleball players, I'm Alex Hamner, Professional Pickleball Player. I've been playing about eight years, and today I'm at Pickleball Central's Pickleball Station, their fantastic four indoor courts and that's why I don't have my hat on or my big old visor maybe you've seen me play in. This is the real me! I'm here to talk to you about the Bantam EX-L paddles by Paddletek. It's been my paddle of choice for well over a year. Love playing with it. It gives a lot of power, whereas I don't have to swing really hard. The weight is evenly weighted. It gives a nice swing, plenty of pop, but I also have pretty good control with it. My drop shots, I love that shot. Dinks are good. Lobs have plenty of control, so it's great because I get the power and the control. Helps you win medals at those tournaments.

It's great. Love the look and feel. It is a quieter racket so is allowed in our neighborhood yet still effective. The balls bounce off the racket so purely.

New and improved Pickle ball paddle
Reviewer: VLG from Redmond, OR United States
I've been playing about 14 months now. My beginner paddle was fine starting out. However, as my play improved, I needed a much improved paddle. The Bantam EX-L was the perfect choice for me. The weight is just right and I have great control on the baseline as well as drop shots. My accuracy has also improved considerably. I'm extremely pleased with my choice of the Bantam EX-L.

Loving my Paddletek Bantam paddle

Reviewer: pickleball rocks from San Diego, CA United States
Outstanding feel and power with great looking graphics pretty well sums up my assessment of my new Paddletek Bantam paddle. I talked to several friends who have the paddle and was impressed by the Paddletek warranty and customer service which they received.

Super Consistent Hits
Reviewer: N. Ramos from Albany , CA United States
I am really happy playing witht the Bantam EX-L both indoors and out. I get just the right amount of pop when digging the ball out of my shoelaces, and not too much when I'm dinking. The paddle face feels much more consistent than the typical graphite paddle I have or have borrowed. I really like that the paddle has a small butt. I usually have to take off the end cap whenever I get a paddle.

Purchase of the new Bantam
Reviewer: David Paulson from Deephaven, MN United States
It has taken a bit of adjustment to this well designed paddle. It is very light, compared to the singles racquet that I have been using. Touch around the net has been greatly improved and I am pleasantly pleased with the power of such a light racquet. It took a while to drive the ball, as my other racquet was so solid that I didn't have to hit the ball hard to send it to the base line. But getting use to this new racquet has been a pleasure and I am now playing at a significantly higher level. Long overdue.

Lightweight, but GREAT!
Reviewer: Shepp Parr from Boynton Beach, FL United States
Just added this paddle to my collection. After playing with it a few times, I have made it my #1, replacing my Z5 as the go to paddle. the grip is very comfortable and I have control. The graphics are eye-catching and garners lots of positive comments. If it weren't that I already have three good paddles, I'd order another one. Great paddle, great buy.
