Today we are here to make many of you happy by writing about Pedro Pascal. The Chilean-born American actor is breaking hearts left and right and we couldn’t deny you what you desperately want.

Here is what “The Mandalorian” hero wore to this year’s MET Gala and why we think it was one of his best fashion statements to date. Enjoy.

For the Gala, Pedro donned a red Valentino Black Tie double wool oversized coat and black wool shorts, along with a ValenTie with gold metal V detail, andValentino Garavaniboots from the Fall 2023 Ready-to-Wear collection.

Even the jewelry and the boots were part of the accessories displayed on the runway, but they are not available for purchase right now. You’ll still have to wait some time.

In a selfie with Bradley Cooper, Pedro was seen wearing a pair of Akoni sunglasses with Icarus frame and custom grey lenses made at Optyx New York.

As always, the lovely Courtney Ullrich-Mooney was in charge of his grooming, opting for slicked back hair. A different approach to his usual curls and waves, like the pro mentioned on her Instagram too.

A lot of people were very delighted to see that the actor’s legs were moisturized using a body cream worth 300$. But for Pedro‘s legs you’d absolutely want the best of the best, right?

A manicurist called Christina, created a custom manicure for the beloved actor, accurately painting the famous Valentino “V” logo on both his middle fingers. On Instagram she mentioned using the Kokoist USA ‘Blackest Black‘ nail polish, the Function of Vex Ceramic Matte Top Coat and The Gel Bottle Clear Rubber Base.

I think it was quite subversive for Pedro to work with Maison Valentino, and I personally see every little detail about his ensemble as a sort of “protest” against the people around him and specifically directed toward Karl Lagerfeld himself.

If you didn’t know, this year’s exhibition was a homage to the late German fashion designer, very known for his hypocrisy, misogynistic rhetoric and bigotry.

Pedro‘s attire for the event would have definitely gone against what Lagerfeld used to deem appropriate for a gala, and even the little sign on his nails was very telling because in Italian culture (which Valentino represents) you tell other people to “f*ck themselves” with the same hand gesture, using the term “vaffanculo” which coincidentally starts with the letter “v“.

It may be a reach but I’d like to think that Pascal said so much without uttering a word. And dare I say, many people subtly contested the designer in their own ways, and I’ll be glad to share my personal analysis related to them in the future.

As we also all know, Pierpaolo Piccioli (Valentino‘s creative director) is breathing new life into the brand and has been a champion for inclusivity and diversity for many years already, a rather contrasting personality in relation to that of Karl.

Collaborating with stylist Julie Ragolia to convey such a charged statement doesn’t come as a surprise, I liked her take on Riz Ahmed‘s ensemble for last year’s MET Gala too (he paid homage to the immigrant workers of the Gilded Age in a 4SDESIGNS look).
