We generally recommend against cotton socks because they tend to hold more moisture. This can cause blisters due to friction of material against the foot and can create bacteria. Non-cotton socks have better moisture-wicking properties. They wick sweat away from the skin, thereby reducing the risk of blisters and fungal infections of the feet.
