It’s no secret that I love making easy RV meals in the Instant Pot.Whether you already have an Instant Pot or are looking to get one, here are some of my Instant Pot recipes for simple RV cooking.
Instant Pot Recipes for Simple RV Cooking
A quick note about which size Instant Pot to get. When we were traveling full time in a Class A motorhome I cooked out of the Instant Pot Duo 6 quart. Now I use the Instant Pot Duo Mini 3 quart in our Class B RV. The smaller Instant Pot works well for two adults where space is limited in a small camper.

When I have access to an Asian grocery store, I love to make some of my favorite comfort dishes. This kimchi stew Instant Pot recipe uses shiitake mushrooms, firm tofu, and soy bean paste. As you’ll see in the video, I don’t limit the use of the Instant Pot to our camper.
Joe’s Instant Pot Chili Recipe
Although I am the primary user of the Instant Pot, Joe also comes up with some tasty dishes. In this 10-minute chili Instant Pot recipe video, you can follow along with Joe in re-creating the dish. Note: habanero pepper powder is optional.

What is an Instant Pot
If you don’t have an Instant Pot, you may be wondering what it is. To answer this question simply, an Instant Pot is a cooking device that combines several different cooking functions in one, making it an ideal multi-cooker to have for RV living. For example, this 9-in-1 Instant Pot can be used as a pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker, steamer, yogurt maker, warmer, sterilizer and a sauté mode.
Whether you are interested in an Instant Pot for your RV or for your house, having one cooking gadget that can do multiple cooking functions means space savings and fewer cooking devices.

Is an Instant Pot Safe to use?
When I first started using the Instant Pot in 2016, one of the first questions my mom asked me was whether the Instant Pot is safe to use. Since it is primarily an electric pressure cooker, her concern was around whether the device would explode due to too much pressure. Based on my years of personal experience using the Instant Pot and following the instructions provided with it, I can share that I’ve never had an issue.
Once I showed my mom how to use the Instant Pot she was quickly fell in love with it and has been using it on a regularly basis for nearly as long as I have. I would venture to say that mom probably uses her Instant Pot more than I do!
When Will Your Instant Pot Cookbook Be Released?
I have put my Instant Pot cookbook on hold for the time being and hope to find get back to it later this year. Until then, I hope you will enjoy some of the Instant Pot recipes shared in this post.
