Description[]

Stunned is a negative environmental status effect caused by afflicted character being shocked with electricity twice or by coming into contact with water whilst Shocked. Stunned status causes afflicted character to be paralysed by electricity, thus rendering them unable to act or dodge attacks (Dodging - 100%). Stunned status also lowers Air Resistance by 15% but increases Earth Resistance by 10%.

Stunned status is also accompanied by Immunities to following status effects:

  • Frozen
  • Terrified
  • Petrified
  • Taunted
  • Sleeping

Cause[]

There are two main ways through which burning status effect can be triggered. On Rivellon if character is already Wet or Shocked coming in contact with any electrified blood or water surface or clouds will cause character to be Stunned unless they have innate immunity to said status. This does not apply to cursed electrified water surface and cursed electrified blood surface which will immediatelly apply Stunned status alongside air damage, whenever character without Magic armour makes contact with it. In combat Stunned follows the same rules and combination of Shocked and Wet can be caused by many of items or most commonly Aerotheurge spells with the addition of Rain spell.

Treatment[]

Stunned is a status effect that is tied to air element and is mostly caused if character is already afflicted with Shocked or Wet in first place and then once again afflicted with Shocked. There are only two status effects that negate Stunned Permafrost and Blessed. There is a third status that helps against Stunned which is Magic Shell status associated with increased Magic armour which is crucial in resisting Stunned status in first place.

As with all magic based status effects, the best way to avoid being Stunned is to keep Magic armour above 0 which can be done by using any Magic Armour restoring items or spells. If items such as potions are used then these can be upgraded and their efficiency increased via Five-Star Diner talent. If spells are used then their efficiency can be increased by investing points in Hydrosophist combat skill which increases Magic armour gained and given. As last resort Magic armour can be gained back through Perseverance but it will only work if character has been incapacitated.
