Afternoon Tea
We had a lovely afternoon tea - far too much to eat in one sitting, so we brought a fair bit home with us.
Felt a bit conspicuous sitting in the lounge with a tablecloth and china crockery, but that was a nice way to make the occasion a bit special.
Staff were very friendly and attentive. Excellent!

Great family pub, we called in for refreshments while on a bike ride. Nice atmosphere, food ok but terrible service at the bar. Play area good and outdoor area great For kids! DH

Hi Debbie, thank you for the comments.
Could you please confirm why the service at the bar was unsatisfactory? I would really appreciate if you could let us know more information as this is not how we aim to be or would like our customers to feel.
If you could email me personally as without knowledge we are unable to rectify any issues.
Thank you for visiting and we do hope you're next visit is a pleasant one.
Many thanks
Kathie

Very nice
I often walk here in the summer months for a good pint of real ale and after reading recent reviews decided to call in for lunch. We were not disappointed, good and friendly service and tasty food. We had the scampi and the steak pie, both served in ample portions. With the good ale, too full for any dessert.

A very picky foody who loved it!
For anyone that enjoys fresh, well made food, mixed with 7 different real ales this is the place.
I like my food and I'm pretty good at knowing what is a quality meal and what isn't.
The 3 horse shoes have rally impressed me today. We were a family of 7, who drank and ate a main and desert and it was truly brilliant.
We have no affiliation to the pub but feel that the offering for families is unbelievable.
7 ales, fresh food and the best kids play area in the area.
The new management have really looked at what the customers want and I wish them every success.
The scampi is proper prawns(not an Iceland special!) The burgers are proper ground beef and the sticky toffee pudding is the best we've had. To be fair it's unbelievable value
Try it you won't be disappointed and I'm not being paid to say that either like some reviews on TA.

We were very pleasantly surprised when we decided at the last minute to come here. The welcome was warm, genuine & friendly, nicely decorated, very comfortable, free Wi-fi, outside seating, great service. The food was delicious & the portions are huge. We had the Potted Crab Starter, the Shoes Sharer & a portion of Parmesan & Rosemary chips. Highly recommend this place. We most certainly will be back.
