iHeartMedia Promotes Marshal Burgess to Portland Market President

iHeartMedia has announced the appointment of Marshal Burgess as Market President for its Portland OR cluster.

Burgess has been part of the cluster for 25 years, rising from Account Executive in 1997 to Local Sales Director, General Sales Manager, VP/Sales and since 2018 VP/Sales. He briefly worked at CBS Radio Portland before joining what would become iHeartMedia.

Burgess succeeds Peter Landry, who led the iHeartMedia Portland cluster since August 2018.

iHeartMedia today announced that Marshal Burgess has been named Market President for Portland, effective immediately. iHeartMedia Portland has a strong cross-platform presence and includes a number of iconic brands and franchises – both broadcast and digital – encompassing eight stations comprised of music, talk and news formats.

Burgess is a veteran of the Portland radio market, having been with iHeartMedia for 25 years. He started as an account executive in 1997, then was named director of local sales in 2003, was promoted to general manager of sales in 2005 and was promoted to vice president of sales in 2015 before being named vice-president again.
